The CAR receiver controls the surge of catalyst as it is vacuumed out of the reactor. When the catalyst reaches the optimum level in the receiver, it is eased gently through the transfer line.

Both companies agreed that settlement of both cases was in the best interest of all parties, especially for their respective customers.
